PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile driver equipped with a safety mechanism which can surely prevent a holder lock from being in an unlocked state.SOLUTION: In a holder lock for fixing a stay holder 19 attached to a back stay 17 at a prescribed position of a leader 16: a lock pin engageable to a lock hole provided in the leader and traveling means for making the lock pin travel to an engagement position and a non-engagement position are arranged in a case portion; and a through-hole into which an indicator provided on the lock pin can protrude, a shutter which opens/closes the through-hole to regulate projection of the indicator, energization means which energizes the shutter in a direction for closing the through-hole, and an opening operation rope 32 which makes the shutter in a direction for opening the through-hole are provided on a rear wall of the case part. The length of the opening operation rope is set to a length by which the height of the lower end of the opening operation rope becomes a height operational from the ground only when the angle of the leader is equal to or less than a predetermined tilting angle. |
