Embodiments of the present invention relate to a downlink transmission control method, a user equipment, and a network device. The downlink transmission control method comprises: receiving at least two reference signals sent by a network device for measurement; acquiring at least two groups of channel statistics information according to the at least two reference signals for measurement; receiving control signaling sent by the network device, the control signal carrying information for indicating a reference signal for demodulation; and determining, from the at least two groups of channel statistics information, a group of channel statistics information corresponding to the information that is carried in the control signaling and is used for indicating the reference signal for demodulation. According to the embodiments of the present invention, channel statistics information used when a downlink signal is demodulated is notified to the UE through the information indicating the reference signal for demodulation, thereby saving signaling overhead.
