Provided are a system and a method for managing a warehouse based on RFID. An RFID based warehouse management system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: pallets stowed in a set area within the warehouse and to which RFID tags are attached; a warehouse server for managing warehouse data including information on the RFID tags and states of the pallets and determining positions of the pallets within the warehouse based on the warehouse data; and RFID readers for repeatedly reading the information on the RFID tags within a set area of the warehouse at every set unit time and transmitting the read information to the warehouse server. The warehouse server determines the state information of the pallets according to displacement of the pallets within the warehouse sensed by the RFID readers.
