The present invention relates to an apparatus for controlling the output of a microwave oven, the apparatus comprising: a high-voltage transformer having a top tap and a middle tap at a first coil thereof; a first relay connected to the top tap to supply or block power to the top tap; a second relay connected to the middle tap to supply or block power to the middle tap; and a control unit selectively driving one of the first and second relays according to input frequencies of power to maintain a constant output of a second coil. According to the present invention, user convenience can be improved by maintaining a constant output of the microwave oven even if rated frequencies of input power are different. Marketability can be enhanced as the apparatus can be used even in a region of which rated frequencies are different, thereby enabling efficient production.
