PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carpet for summer where a cool feeling can be reliably gained when a person touches the surface of the carpet even at a room temperature of nearly 35°C.SOLUTION: In a carpet including a surface skin layer consisting of a pile yarn and a base cloth and a backing layer, a microcapsule encapsulated with a phase-transition material that has two or more kinds of melting points at the melting point of 20-35°C and sugar alcohol are stuck on the pile yarn on and above the base cloth. A QMAX (contact warm-cold feeling value) is greater than 0.085 j/cmsec, providing the carpet for summer that ensures the feeling of refreshing coolness when a person touches the surface of the carpet even at a room temperature of nearly 35°C. |
