PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of electrolytic corrosion at the contact part of the conductor part of an aluminum wire and the barrel of a crimping terminal, by preventing ingress of moisture into a crimped part of the conductor part of an aluminum wire and the barrel of a crimping terminal made of copper or a copper alloy, over a long period.SOLUTION: Insulator is stripped from an aluminum wire 1 formed by coating a conductor 2, produced by stranding a plurality of wires 3 made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, with the insulator. The conductor 2 thus exposed is mounted on the conductor crimp part 13 of a crimping terminal 10 made of copper or a copper alloy, while retracting the tip of the conductor 2 farther rearward than the tip of the conductor crimp part 13, and then caulked. The tip of the hollow conductor crimp part 13 of the crimping terminal 10 where the conductor 2 does not exist is welded and sealed. |
