PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shield machine which prevents an existing segment and a skin plate of the shield machine from competing during curve construction and prevents an existing key segment from pushing out.SOLUTION: A shield machine 1 includes: a cylindrical skin plate 2; a cutter head 3; and an erector device 10. The erector device 10 links a plurality of segments S to insert a key segment KS between the segments S so as to build a segment ring SR. The skin plate 2 has an extension part 20 extending to backward from an upper portion of the rear end 2b. A key segment KS1 of a segment ring SR1 at a forefront side is covered by the skin plate 2 and the extension part 20. Tail seals 41 and 42 in two rows front and rear are provided along outer edges of the rear end 2b of the skin plate 2 and the extension part 20 to block a clearance between inner surfaces of the rear end 2b of the skin plate 2 and the extension part 20 and an outer surface of the segment ring SR. |
