摘要 <p>Provided are a metal nano-micro-protrusion black body that can absorb light in a wide wavelength range and can selectively adjust a light absorbing orientation, and a method for producing the same. Provided is a metal nano-micro-protrusion black body that includes a substrate made of zinc or a substrate having a zinc layer on a surface thereof, and a multiplicity of nano-micro protrusions that are principally made of zinc and grow from and are formed of this substrate, wherein the metal nano-micro-protrusion black body has the following characteristics: the nano-micro protrusion has a shape with a round cross-section such as a conical or cylindrical shape, and has an aspect ratio of 3 or more, the aspect ratio being a ratio of the height of the nano-micro protrusion with respect to the diameter thereof at the bottom of 3 mum or less; and the metal nano-micro-protrusion black body absorbs 95 % or more of ultraviolet light, visible light, or infrared light that is incident at an angle within 30° with respect to the growth direction of the nano-micro protrusions. Also provided is a method for producing the nano-micro-protrusion black body.</p>
