PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device which suppresses a point-like view of each light emitting diode light source, is excellent in uniformity of diffusion of light in a short side direction of a light source unit and uniformity of light in the short side direction, and can reduce costs.SOLUTION: An illumination device 1 is provided with: a light source unit 10 where a plurality of light emitting diode light sources 11 are linearly arranged; and a light diffusing body 20 provided on the light emission side of the light source unit 10. The light diffusing body 20 is provided with: a first recess and projection pattern 21a where recesses and projections repeat along the direction orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of the light source unit; and a second recess and projection pattern 22a where recesses and projections repeat along the longitudinal direction of the light source unit. There are a most frequent pitch Aand aspect ratio (B/A) of the first recess and projection pattern 21a and a most frequent pitch Aand aspect ratio (B/A) of the second recess and projection pattern 22a within a specific range. |
