PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet-shielding material having, despite having an excellent ultraviolet-shielding effect, an excellent dispersibility within an aqueous solvent and an excellent transparency.SOLUTION: In a case where titanium oxide nanotubes whose tube lengths are longer than 150 nm and shorter than 1000 nm are dispersed within an aqueous solvent based on the manufacture thereof by a method comprising: a synthesis step of synthesizing titanium oxide nanotubes from titanium oxide by means of hydrothermal synthesis; an agitation step of agitating the titanium oxide nanotubes synthesized at the synthesis step and beads in a state where the titanium oxide nanotubes and the beads are being mixed; and an ultrasonic treatment step of irradiating ultrasound onto the titanium oxide nanotubes; it becomes possible to provide an ultraviolet-shielding material exhibiting sufficient dispersibility within the aqueous solvent and capable of simultaneously realizing an advanced ultraviolet-shielding effect and transparency. |
