PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake device which corrects a change of a brake gap caused by a temperature and is capable of suppressing the change within a prescribed range.SOLUTION: A brake device which performs braking by bringing a braking body 12 facing a rotating body 11 at a prescribed gap into contact with the rotating body 11 is configured in such a manner that an expansion body 26 having a different thermal expansion coefficient from the rotating body 11 is used as a gap adjusting mechanism 25 for adjusting the gap and that a change of the gap accompanying a change in ambient temperature is maintained within a prescribed range by expansion/contraction of the expansion body 26. |
