PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device in which photographing of an image can be performed while reducing subject shake or hand shake in an optical direction.SOLUTION: An imaging device includes: an imaging element (6) for applying optical conversion to a subject image formed by a means of a photographic optical system; an optical path division means (5) interposed between the photographic optical system and the imaging element; a subject information sensor (7) for acquiring subject information on the basis of an optical flux from the optical path division means; a determination means (12) for determining whether or not a moving amount of the subject detected by the subject information sensor is equal to or greater than a predetermined value during light exposure of the imaging element; a light exposure truncation means (12) for truncating light exposure of the imaging element when it is determined, by the means of the determination means, that the moving amount is equal to or greater than a predetermined value during light exposure of the imaging element; and a developing means (8) for generating a recording image from the imaging element and an output from the light exposure truncation means.
