The present invention relates to a high manganese high strength steel with excellent formability and a method for manufacturing the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is a method for manufacturing a high manganese high strength steel with excellent formability comprising: a step for homogenizing a continuous casting slab or a steel ingot comprising in wt%, 0.4-0.7% of carbon (C), 12-24% of manganese (Mn), 1.1-3.0% of aluminum (Al), 0.3% or less of silicon (Si), 0.005-0.10% of titanium (Ti), 0.0005-0.0050% of boron (B), 0.03% or less of phosphorus (P), 0.03% or less of sulfur (S), 0.04% or less of nitrogen (N), residues comprising iron and other unavoidable impurities by heating the continuous casting slab or the steel ingot at 1050-1300°C; a step for finish hot rolling the homogenized continuous casting slab or the homogenized steel ingot at 850-1000°C; a step for hot winding the hot rolled steel plate at 400-700°C; a step for cold rolling the winded steel plate; a step for continuous annealing the cold rolled steel plate at 400-900°C; and a step for re-rolling the continuous annealed steel plate with a rolling rate of more than or equal to10% and less than 25%. |
