PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery in which elution of a positive electrode material can be suppressed and battery characteristics is maintained at a high level.SOLUTION: A lithium secondary battery provided with the present invention includes a wound electrode body formed by winding a positive electrode sheet and a negative electrode sheet. In the wound electrode body, the outermost periphery of the negative electrode sheet is located at the outer side of the outermost periphery of the positive electrode sheet. The positive electrode sheet has a positive electrode mixture layer on the outer surface of the outermost periphery thereof. The positive electrode mixture layer includes a lithium transition metal composite oxide, as a positive electrode active material. The negative electrode sheet has a negative electrode mixture layer on both surfaces of the outermost periphery thereof. The lithium secondary battery includes a non-polymerizable additive at a position capable of being supplied with the positive electrode active material. The oxidation potential of the non-polymerizable additive at 60°C is 4.1 V or higher and 4.6 V or lower. |
