PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving image decoding apparatus capable of improving the quality of a decoded image regardless of the properties or the like of an original image.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a moving image decoding apparatus in which decoding means decodes an encoded image using a generated prediction image as side information. The moving image decoding apparatus comprises: a plurality of prediction image generating means that generate prediction images by different methods, respectively; and prediction image combining means that combines the plurality of prediction images generated by the respective prediction image generating means to obtain the prediction image to be given to the decoding means. |
