PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To meet incompatible demands for high speed transmission and low power transmission.SOLUTION: A differential output circuit 1 comprises: a current source 2; a voltage source 3; a first transistor pair 4 that, in a first operation mode, selects which of a pair of output terminals a current from the current source should flow to in accordance with logic of differential input signals, and remains off in a second operation mode; a second transistor pair 5 that, in the second operation mode, selects which of the pair of output terminals a voltage correlated with the voltage of the voltage source should be applied to in accordance with the logic of the differential input signals, and remains off in the first operation mode; a third transistor pair 6 connected to output current paths of the second transistor pair so as to, in the second operation mode, pass a current input into one of the pair of output terminals in accordance with the logic of the differential input signals to a predetermined reference potential side, and to remain on in the first operation mode; and an impedance pair 7 connected at one end side to the output current paths of the second transistor pair and connected at the other end side to output current paths of the first transistor pair and the pair of output terminals. |
