PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus, capable of more improving the image quality of an image including a puncture needle, and also variously controlling the width of an ultrasonic beam more surely including the puncture needle.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes: an ultrasonic probe 2 having a plurality of ultrasonic vibrators in the elevation direction; a beam former, which is a beam former for forming an ultrasonic receive beam by delay addition of echo signals received by the respective ultrasonic vibrators, that forms ultrasonic receive beams RBM1, RBM2, different in width in the elevation direction on one transmit/receive surface by controlling the delay time in the delay addition; and a display control part for displaying a composition image obtained based upon the ultrasonic receive beams RBM1, RBM2. |
