PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise yield and selectivity of trioxane and suppress an amount of unreacted formaldehyde to the minimum when producing trioxane from an aqueous formaldehyde solution.SOLUTION: In a production method, a hemiformal concentrate obtained from an aqueous formaldehyde solution and alcohol is subjected to heat decomposition to generate formaldehyde gas, and reaction generation gas including trioxane is obtained from the formaldehyde gas using a solid acid catalyst. In addition, the reaction generation gas is made to contact to an organic solvent, thereby trioxane and unreacted formaldehyde gas included in the reaction generation gas is subjected to gas liquid separation, the unreacted formaldehyde gas after the separation is subjected to circulation recycle and is added to a system to obtain the reaction generation gas. |
