[Also in Division H2] In a coaxial connector terminal having an outer conductive shell 5 separated from an inner conductor by dielectric material, the shell is formed by rolling flat sheet metal strip into tubular form with the strip edges in abutting relationship, a back-up portion 20, which is adapted to be connected to an outer conductor of a coaxial cable being provided together with means securing together the edges of the strip in the region of the back-up portion. The abutting strip edges are joined by a weld spot 26, which is maintained as flush as possible with the surface of the shell 5.</p> |
