The invention relates to a method for large-scale production of mycelial inoculum of ascomycota. Large-scale production of ascomycota is of great commercial interest, in particular that of important species belonging to the Tuber, Terfezia and Morchella genera, such as, Tuber melanosporum "black truffle" or "Périgord truffle", Tuber magnatum "Piedmont white truffle", Terfezia arenaria "desert truffle" or Morchella esculenta "common morel". The method comprises several steps which include initial isolation of the fungus, inoculation of the isolated mycelium in a modified oat solid culture medium (MOM), purification thereof in the same medium and subsequent growth in a modified Biotin-Aneurin-Folic Acid (BAF) culture medium, in order finally to obtain the purified fungal mycelium. |
