PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remotely check a state of a watched person, without using a sensor for monitoring.SOLUTION: A user state checking system 1 communicably connects a television device 10 (with a communication function) daily used by a user to a server device 2 providing watching service. The television device 10 transmits power-on information to the server device 2 on the basis of a power-on operation from the user, and the server device 2 stores the received power-on information along with reception time and date. The television device 10 further displays a question screen on the basis of the power-on operation and transmits information indicating a user's answer to the server device 2, and the server device 2 stores the information indicating the received answer along with reception time and date. Referring to the various information stored in the server device 2 enables the state of the watched person to be checked.
