PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a recycled fiber containing non-fusible particles from molded articles of para-type wholly aromatic polyamide having non-fusible particles adhered thereto or mixed therein, the recycled fiber having strength equivalent to a fiber obtained from fresh wholly aromatic polyamide.SOLUTION: When dissolving molded articles of para-type wholly aromatic polyamide having non-fusible particles adhered thereto or mixed therein, a particle diameter and a content of impurities contained in an inorganic salt used in the dissolution step are controlled below specific values to prepare a solution of para-type wholly aromatic polyamide. The para-type wholly aromatic polyamide is spun by a semi-dry, semi-wet process. |
