PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in an ultrasound transducer associated with a conventional embodiment, that in an aerial ultrasound transducer having an opening at side face center on the narrow side of a bottomed cylindrical case whose inside is rectangular shaped, directivity in the horizontal direction protrudes outside a vehicle width, causing a broader detection range than necessary.SOLUTION: There is provided an ultrasound transducer, in which an opening is provided in two side wall portions of a bottomed cylindrical case, the openings being shaped so as to be non-linear against the center axis of the bottomed cylindrical case, so that horizontal directivity is eccentric and a detection range can therefore be kept from protruding outside a vehicle width. |
