PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and reliably connect a flat plate-like cable without occupying a large area on a substrate.SOLUTION: The connector has: a housing having an insertion recess in which a tip portion of the flat plate-like cable including an ear part is inserted; a terminal electrically connected to a conductive wire of the flat plate-like cable; an auxiliary metal fitting mounted to the housing; and a cable detachment prevention member whose posture is changed between an opening position and a closing position. The cable detachment prevention member is provided with an ear hooking part, and the ear hooking part makes it possible to insert a tip portion of the flat plate-like cable in the insertion recess when the cable detachment prevention member is at the opening position, and makes it impossible to detach the tip portion of the flat plate-like cable from the insertion recess by hooking the ear part when the cable detachment prevention member is at the closing position. The connector is mounted to the substrate at such a posture that an insertion direction of the tip portion of the flat plate-like cable is vertical to the substrate. |
