The gear box (1) has an input shaft (2), an intermediate shaft (3), an output shaft (4), and a drive wheel (12) that is rotationally fixed on the input shaft. The drive wheel is operatively connected with a driven wheel (13) i.e. gear wheel, that is arranged in a rotationally fixed manner on the intermediate shaft. A driving fork (18) is provided between the intermediate shaft and the output shaft. The driving fork is rotationally and fixedly connected with the intermediate shaft in one angular position for producing operating connection between the intermediate shaft and the output shaft.
