<p>The frame (10) has two longitudinal beams (12, 14) spaced from each other in a vehicle transverse direction and made of a metallic material. Two sets of cross beams (16, 18, 20, 22) are connected with each other in a vehicle longitudinal direction. The longitudinal beams are provided with energy absorption elements (38, 40) over a length region (36), where the energy absorption elements are formed by a reinforced fiber plastic material.
