<p>An approach for enabling a user to view multimedia information associated with a route is described. A route based multimedia generator determines an input for selecting at least one route associated with at least one device. The route based multimedia generator further determines multimedia information associated with the at least one route. The route based multimedia generator further causes, at least in part, a presentation of the multimedia information (427, 429, 430, 431, 432) in place of mapping information, navigation information, or a combination thereof associated with the at least one route.</p> |
