<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a modified cis-1, 4-polybutadiene which has excellent processability and low loss tangent; and a method for producing this modified cis-1, 4-polybutadiene. A method for producing a modified cis-1, 4-polybutadiene of the present invention does not require separation of cis-1, 4-polybutadiene after the production thereof, and is therefore an excellent production method which is simple and does not require complicated operations. The present invention is a modified cis-1, 4-polybutadiene which is obtained by reacting cis-1, 4-polybutadiene with a specific mono- to tri-substituted aromatic compound in the presence of a Lewis acid and an organic halogen compound.</p> |
