PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for fitting an exterior member and a method for fitting an exterior member, capable of improving the efficiency of fitting work of the exterior member without enlargement or complication of the device.SOLUTION: A device 1 for fitting an exterior member includes support means 2 for supporting a sheet member S as an exterior member from an exterior surface side, electric wire holding means 3 and 4 for holding an electric wire part W1 along the adhesive surface of the sheet member S supported with the support means 2, and folding means 5 for double folding the sheet member S supported with the support means 2. The support means 2 includes a first support part 21 for supporting a region R1 of approximately a half of the plane of the sheet member S and a second support part 22 for supporting another region R2 of the sheet member S. The other region R2 of the sheet member S is rotated toward the first supporting part 21, so that the sheet member S is folded. The electric wire part W1 of a wire harness W is held in the folded sheet member S so as to be shrouded. |
