PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impeller for an undershot wheel which is applicable to small-scale hydraulic power generation and has high energy conversion efficiency.SOLUTION: An impeller 10 for an undershot wheel includes a rotary body 1 supported rotatably around a shaft 2, and a plurality of pairs of blades 3A, 3B, and 3C (R, L) provided on a rotary surface of the rotary body 1. The plurality of pairs of blades 3A, 3B, and 3C (R, L) are provided from the center of the rotary body 1 in a vertical section direction of a channel to an outer peripheral surface, and have phase angles such that a water stream flowing to the channel is changed from the center direction to the outside direction and the sinkage "x" of the impeller 10 increases as a water stream flowing from the channel increases in flow velocity. |
