PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generation method and a hydrogen generation apparatus in which hydrogen can be generated from ammonia by a high generation rate under an ordinary temperature environment without using a catalyst.SOLUTION: A hydrogen generation method in which hydrogen is generated from ammonia, includes a hydrogen gas generation step in which a hydrogen source gas including ammonia gas is irradiated with ultraviolet to generate hydrogen gas, in the hydrogen gas generation step, the hydrogen source gas is introduced into a reaction vessel, and ultraviolet including light of a wavelength of at most 200 nm is applied to the hydrogen source gas introduced into the reaction vessel under a specific condition. |
