PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vacuum cleaner simplified in its structure while effectively preventing a user from mistakenly holding up a cleaner body with the handle of a dust collecting device, and easily attached or detached to or from the body case.SOLUTION: A body case 26 includes a body part 31 housing an electric air blower, a protruding receiving part 32 protruding to the front of the body part 31, and a handle 34 provided to the body part 31. The dust collecting device 27 is detachably mounted to the protruding receiving part 32 of the body case 26 to sort out and collect dust from dust-containing air sucked in by driving the electric air blower. The dust collecting device 27 has a case part 85 retaining at least part of the sorted dust in the inner part thereof. The dust collecting device 27 has a dust-collecting device hand part 98 installed to the outer part of the case part 85, and adjacent to the body case 26 while installing the dust collecting device 27 to the protruding receiving part 32. |
