<p>D-homo azasteroids of formula (I) and (II):- (where R is oxo, ketal, H, OH, an ester, or an ether residue, and R2 is 1.alkoxy) are prepd. (a) by acid catalysed (H2SO4/AcOH) rearrangement of 17-oxo-16-oximinosteroids, and (b) by base catalysed cyclisation of 16, 17-seco-Dnor steroids substd. at 15 and 17 by carbamoyl and carbalkoxy residues.</p> |
