An independent start-up system of a fuel cell for a ship is disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the independent start-up system of a fuel cell for a ship includes: a fuel cell stack for generating power using electrochemical reactions of a fuel gas; an energy storing part for providing initial start-up power required for the start-up of the fuel cell stack; a power control part for distributing initial start-up power or power generated in the fuel cell stack; a reforming part which receives initial start-up power and fuel to produce a reforming gas in an initial operation mode; and a catalytic combustion part which supplies heat generated by burning the reforming gas supplied from the reforming part to the fuel cell stack in the initial operation mode.
