<p>The garment is formed by knitting a tubular body portion up to the arm-pits, on both opposed pairs of needle-beds; knitting opposed flat extensions to the upper end of the body portion to define chest and back portions decreasing in width towards the neck; starting at the nect, knitting shoulder portions on alternate needle beds, to connect adjacent edges of the chest and back portions; and knitting tubular sleeve portions as extensions of the shoulder portions.
