The present invention relates to a method for cross-linking polymers, characterized in that it includes a step of reacting at least one first reactant comprising at least one carbonate function with at least one second reactant comprising at least one protected amine function that is configured to be unprotected so as to be cross-linked with at least one carbonate function of the first reactant during said reaction.
