According to the present invention, the safety system for a power plant comprises a facility information transmitter that is installed inside a facility of a power plant and transmitting the position information of the facility; a transceiver for collecting and transmitting the position information of workers in the power plant; and a position information processing apparatus for receiving the position information of the facility and the workers, calculating a relative distance between the facility and the workers and transmitting secure distance information to the transceiver if the relative distance is less than the standard distance that is previously set.
