The present invention relates to a battery inspection apparatus capable of inspecting whether or not of the defect of a battery having a can and a winding jelly roll, the battery inspection apparatus comprising: a transfer device configured to transfer the battery; a first X-ray tube configured to horizontally irradiate the upper end of the battery with an X-ray; a second X-ray tube configured to horizontally irradiate the lower end of the battery with an X-ray; first and second detectors respectively positioned on the opposite side of the first and second X-ray tubes with the battery interposed between the first and second detectors and consecutively line scanning and photographing the battery transferred by the transfer device; and a determination unit configured to determine a gap between the can and the winding jelly roll from images photographed by the first and second detectors.
