Upper and lower seal plates 230, 240 of a sub plate mounted, pilot actuated spool valve 200 are reinforced with a steel disk. Portions of the seal plates may comprise an engineering thermoplastic such as polyoxymethylene (POM). The plastic material may be moulded to the disk or they may be mechanically connected together. The thermoplastic material may envelop the metal disk or vice-versa. |
