PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge control device which accurately compares a battery voltage and a charge control voltage, and can prevent the backflow of a current to a charging circuit from a battery when charging is transited to float charging. SOLUTION: The charge control device has a function for switching the charge control voltage according to a battery temperature during charging, and determines whether practical charging is completed or not when a charging current reaches a termination current, and further continues the float charging as auxiliary charging. When the charging is transited to the float charging under the condition that the battery voltage exceeds the charge control voltage, a signal is transmitted to control logic from a reverse output detection circuit which detects the reverse operation of a constant voltage controlling comparator (CV), thus preventing the backflow of the current to the charge control circuit from the battery by controlling the on/off-operation of a charging switch and completing the float charging.
