Protective helmet for sports activity

The helmet (1) has a damping layer i.e. skull cap, covering a part of a cranium (71) of a user. A cap is interposed partially between the layer and the cranium. The cap comprises a pocket (40). An internal volume of the pocket locally defines initial thickness of the cap in initial personalization configuration. An adjustment unit adjusts the volume to allow evacuation of portion of the fluid in the pocket following a compression of the pocket. Reduction of the volume ensures a localized reduction of the thickness so as to conform the cap to the morphology of skull. An independent claim is also included for a method for personalization of a protection helmet.
