A container (10) for mixing and dispensing of material having a liquid receptacle (14) which has a front portion (36) and a plunger (18) which has a forwardly projecting sharp protrusion (42) having a shaft (72) which terminates in a sharp outer end. Upon the plunger (18) being depressed the sharp protrusion (42) pierces a front portion (36) of the liquid receptacle (14) and liquid in the receptacle (14) is pushed hydraulically through the front portion (36) into a main chamber (17). The plunger (18) can continue to be depressed so as to break the front portion (36) of the liquid receptacle (14) away and then push the material in the main chamber (17) towards a dispensing nozzle (26). The main chamber (17) has a frangible membrane (22) at a distal end (13) thereof which is hydraulically broken by pressure applied from the material in the main chamber (17). |
