An apparatus and a method for using an expanded disk of an auxiliary display module in a notebook computer are provided to enable an auxiliary display module to access and control an expanded memory to use the expanded memory when a large amount of data storage space is required while driving the auxiliary display module, and use data stored in the expanded memory in a state when a main system is not operated. A main system(210) controls whole operation of a notebook. An auxiliary display module(220) controls driving of an auxiliary display. An expanded memory(230) stores a large amount of data in accordance with control of the main system and stores data in accordance with control of the auxiliary display module. A switching unit(240) selectively forms a data transmission path between one of the main system and the auxiliary display module, and the expanded memory. A control logic unit(250) controls the switching unit to control control right of the main system or the auxiliary display module to the expanded memory. |
