PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rust preventing method in a cutting plane of existing fluid pipe which can keep contact holding with respect to a cutting plane of rust preventing cover by surely strengthening locking force between the rust preventing cover and a periphery of existing fluid pipe. SOLUTION: The rust preventing method in a cutting plane 1a of existing fluid pipe 1 processes the rust prevention of the cutting plane 1a in such a way that a rust preventing operation body 6, which holds a rust preventing cover 5 equipped with a locking section 5f locking a periphery 1b of the existing fluid pipe 1, is operated toward the cutting plane 1a of the existing fluid pipe 1 cut in such a condition of continuous flow within a casing 2 sealing the existing fluid pipe 1, and that the rust preventing cover 5 is held in contact with respect to the cutting plane 1a by getting a locked section 1c locked to the periphery 1b.
