The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for purifying organic materials which can prevent a splattering phenomenon on a loading boat and also can perform efficient collection of organic materials through temperature control for each section in a collection tube, in a sublimation purification apparatus to obtain high purity organic materials required in manufacturing an OLED display. According to the present invention, the method for purifying organic materials in a sublimation purification apparatus to obtain high purity organic materials required in an OLED display prevents bad influence on the purity of the organic material due to the splattering phenomenon of impurities by discharging the impurities slantly in the side direction by blocking the upper part of a loading boat in order to prevent the organic material from splattering on the loading boat filled with the organic material. On the other hand, the method enables efficient collection of large capacity of the organic material by performing collection over the whole collection section by changing the temperature of the collection section into multiple steps of sub sections in the collection tube for collecting the sublimated organic material.
