A baby bath 10 comprises a base 12 and a side wall 14 and a flange 18 extending around a periphery of the side wall. The direction, orientation or curvature of the flange may vary around the periphery of the side wall. Preferably, the flange extends from the upper or edge region of the side wall at or adjacent to the second portion 14d of the side wall, and does not extend from the upper or edge region of the side wall at or adjacent the first portion 14c of the sidewall. This results in a section of the sidewall 14c at a first end of the bathtub having a greater flexibility than a section of the side wall 14d at a second end of the bathtub. The invention seeks to prevent liquid contained within the bathtub from being spilled or sloshing out of the receptacle as it is carried. |
