PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize operation in a high rotation speed region by increasing a natural frequency of a motor, in addition to actualizing a compact structure and cost reduction in a screw compressor. SOLUTION: In a screw compressor 10 having a structure in which a motor rotor 13a of a motor 13 is overhung to a male rotor 11 of screw rotors 11 and 12 having male-female engagement, an outer member 16 is provided on an outer peripheral section of a shaft section 13b of the motor rotor 13a of the motor 13 that is continuous to a rotor shaft 14b of the male rotor 11.
