A polarizer according to the present invention is disposed on a substrate and is composed of the substrate, an antistatic layer comprising a conductive material, and a metal layer that is located on the antistatic layer and has a plurality of protrusion that form wire grid patterns. The antistatic layer comprises at least one of a group composed of a PEDOT (poly (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)), indium tin oxide (ITO), indium zinc oxide (IZO), and carbon nanotube (CNT). The polarizer may include more insulating layers of which they are installed between the antistatic layer and the metal layer. The polarizer includes the antistatic layer so that it may prevent static electricity generated from outside to be penetrated into ta display panel of a liquid crystal layer.
