PURPOSE: An Ethernet L2 switch device and a data transmission method thereof are provided to stably transmit Ethernet packet data. CONSTITUTION: An Ethernet L2 switch device comprises medium access control (MAC) (310), a speed matching buffer unit (320), and PHY (330). The MAC transmits an Ethernet packet data signal with a predetermined transmission speed. The speed matching buffer unit transmits the Ethernet packet data by synchronizing with a transceiving clock signal. The PHY receives Ethernet packet data corresponding to the transmission speed converted by the speed matching buffer unit.
