PURPOSE: An IPTV system performing a remote broadcasting recording operation for controlling a set top box by using the portable terminal of the user and a method thereof are provided to perform broadcasting recording operation and control the set top box by using the portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A user terminal(10) transmits an SMS message in which a set top box control command is included. An IPTV service providing server(30) receives an SMS message, the received SMS message /is transmitted to the set top box(40). The set top box performs the control command by analyzing the SMS message. The user terminal transmits the SMS message in which the broadcasting formation table request is included. The IPTV service providing server offers the requested broadcasting formation table. |
